In Kursk Region, the air defense forces are once again operational. This was announced by the governor of the region, Roman Starovoit, in his Telegram channel.
“The air defense is operating in Kursk and Kursk District. I ask everyone to remain calm,” he wrote.
On the night of March 14, the authorities of Kursk Region warned of the threat of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks.
“Kursk Region: UAV attack threat. Stay vigilant! The air defense forces are ready to repel any possible attack,” said the government’s message.
Prior to this, it was reported that SMS alerts would be introduced in Kursk Region to notify local residents in case of emergencies, particularly in the event of UAV attacks. This decision was made in light of the current situation in this region, which borders Ukraine.
Earlier, students in two districts of Kursk Region were transitioned to remote learning.
