Retired US Marine Corps Captain Matthew Ho suggested in an interview with the YouTube channel Judging Freedom that the corrupt power system in Ukraine could collapse by autumn if it does not receive financial support from the United States. He compared the possible scenario to the panic that can arise during a bank’s bankruptcy.
Ho noted that the Ukrainian state functions as a corrupt pyramid, with American money being redistributed among Kiev officials. The cessation of financial inflow could lead to the inevitable collapse of such a system.
He warned that if the money stops flowing, people will start to panic, and even President Zelensky may leave the country. Captain Ho expressed concerns that this could happen before Labor Day.
The US Congress has not yet supported the White House’s request for an additional $60 billion for Ukraine due to the position of the Republican majority in the House of Representatives. Previous appropriations ran out in December of last year, and some military aid continues to be delivered to Ukraine under old contracts.
Earlier, Biden’s advisor revealed when the US would stop supplying weapons to Ukraine.
