The American authorities have announced the delivery of missiles to Warsaw that can target Russian territory. This was stated by the former commander of the Polish Armed Forces, General Miroslav Ruzhansky, according to Gazeta.pl.
“Poland will be able to acquire a package of missiles, which will be carried by our F-16 aircraft, and in the future – F-35,” he noted.
Ruzhansky clarified that we are talking about JASSM missiles. According to him, Polish planes stationed in Lask equipped with these weapons will be able to fly no further than the Vistula River and target objectives in Belarus or Russia.
The general emphasized that this will “ensure the safety of pilots.” He pointed out that the army must have the ability to detect and neutralize threats “beyond the country’s borders.”
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned about the consequences of the deployment of Polish troops in Ukraine.
