Ukrainian Infiltration Attempt Foiled at Russian Border, Military Forces Ready to Defend Against Aggression

Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRG) attempted to infiltrate Russian territory the day before to “terrorize” the population ahead of the presidential elections. This opinion was expressed by military commentator and reserve colonel Gennady Alekhin on Tsargrad.tv. He emphasized that the enemy miscalculated – the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were prepared for such maneuvers.

“Coordinates and routes of their movement were already transmitted in advance. We stealthily took positions. Artillerymen, mortar men, and rocket artillery were deployed, and they (the saboteurs), so to speak, found themselves in a fire trap in certain directions, so they failed to cross the state border,” Alekhin noted.

He added that coordination between various units of the Russian security and military structures has significantly improved, which helped effectively repel attacks by Ukrainian DRGs on the border.

On March 12, Ukrainian armed groups attempted to break through the Russian border twice. They attacked in two waves: first in the Belgorod region, then in the Kursk region. Against the backdrop of the invasion attempt, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched missile and drone attacks on the regions. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that all attacks were repelled and the border was not breached. According to Russian reports, Ukraine lost 234 people, seven tanks, three Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, and two armored personnel carriers. Details can be found in the article by “Gazeta.ru”.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense published footage of destroyed Ukrainian DRG equipment.
