The city of Shebekino in the Belgorod region was shelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported this in his Telegram channel.
It is reported that one person was injured in the shelling. He was hospitalized in the second city hospital of Belgorod with a concussion and abrasions. The injured person is an employee of an enterprise located in the industrial zone of Shebekino, which was hit by the shelling this time.
“The power line was damaged. Subscribers in the city of Shebekino, the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, and the settlement of Maslova Pristan are temporarily without electricity,” the official said.
It is reported that windows were broken in several apartments in one of the multi-story residential buildings in the city, and smoke was observed in the workshop of one of the city’s factories.
Prior to this, a resident of Shebekino received shrapnel wounds during shelling by the AFU.
After the shelling, various damages were recorded in the city, including six private houses, a store building, the central district hospital, a kindergarten, and a technical school. Two cars were also damaged. Emergency services are working at the scene, concluded Gladkov.
Earlier, the office of Zelensky threatened Russia with retribution for the explosions in Ukraine.
