Russian soldiers have destroyed the equipment of Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage groups (RSG) that were located in the border area near the Belgorod settlement of Nechoteevka. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has published a video recording showing the damaged vehicles.
The ministry clarified that the military personnel of the country prevented the penetration of fighters from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) into the territory of the Belgorod region. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, members of the Ukrainian sabotage groups were eliminated at the border crossing.
At the same time, in the footage provided by the Russian agency, one can see the disabled equipment of the AFU. The video also shows surviving Ukrainian soldiers lifting the wounded and fleeing the battlefield.
On March 12, the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, stated that a group of Ukrainian saboteurs made an unsuccessful attempt to break into the region. As a result, a shootout broke out between the AFU fighters and Russian military personnel, and the violators of the border were unable to penetrate the country’s territory.
Later, the situation was commented on by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Representatives of the ministry said that Ukrainian saboteurs, with the support of tanks and armored vehicles, attempted to enter the territory of the country from three directions in the Belgorod region. At approximately the same time, four attacks by AFU RSG were repelled in the area of the Kursk village of Tetkino.
Previously, Britain was accused of preparing Ukrainian saboteurs for attacks on nuclear power plants (NPPs) in the Russian Federation.
