Head of the press center of the “West” group, Ivan Bigma, announced that Russian military forces destroyed two Ukrainian BMP-1 vehicles with “Lancet” barraging ammunition in the area of the settlement of Yamopolovka on the Kupyansk direction. This was reported by TASS.
According to Bigma, motorized infantry units, in cooperation with artillery and aviation, repelled four attacks by the 32nd Mechanized and 57th Motorized Infantry Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Sin’kivka area. During the counter-battery fight, artillery units destroyed a 122-mm artillery installation 2S1 “Gvozdika” and an American howitzer M101.
The head of the press center also reported that six unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by the air defense means of the group: three “Lelyaki-100,” “Sinitza,” “Valkyrie,” and “Fury.”
As clarified by Bigma, the Ukrainian military suffered up to 30 casualties on the Kupyansk direction, including a tank, two infantry combat vehicles, an armored personnel carrier, two artillery guns, three mortar crews, six unmanned aerial vehicles, and a vehicle.
On March 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the calculations of the “Hyacinth-B” howitzers of the Western Group of Forces of the Russian Armed Forces disrupted the rotation of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kupyansk direction.
On March 11, the TASS agency, citing power structures, reported that the positions of elite formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were hit by a missile strike in the Kharkiv region.
Prior to this, CNN reported that the use of Russian aviation bombs FAB-1500, weighing 1.5 tons, by the Russian army had led to significant losses among the Armed Forces of Ukraine and changed the balance of power on the front line.
Earlier, Ukrainian medics stated that they did not trust the official data on the losses of the AFU.
