Ukrainian Drones Strike Again: Three More Shot Down in Kursk Region, Governor Confirms

Governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, announced in a Telegram channel that three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down over three districts of the region.

“Three Ukrainian UAVs of aircraft type were shot down over the Kursk, Solntsevsk, and Ponyrovsk districts,” Starovoit wrote.

Earlier, the governor reported the elimination of a UAV in the sky over the Fatezh district.

Later, it became known about the repeated attacks by UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the region.

Additional context:

It is important to note that the Kursk region is located in western Russia, bordering Ukraine. The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has resulted in heightened tensions in the region. The use of UAVs in military operations has become increasingly common, with both sides utilizing this technology for reconnaissance and attacks. The downing of Ukrainian UAVs over Russian territory is seen as a defensive action by the Russian government to protect its borders and citizens. These incidents further highlight the volatile situation in the region and the potential for escalation of hostilities.
