Ukrainian military personnel, dissatisfied with the country’s leadership, reportedly want to create a radical party with a militant wing that could overthrow the authorities in Ukraine. This information comes from RIA Novosti, citing correspondence on a closed resource obtained by Russian specialists.
According to the agency, among the participants in the chat are Vladimir Valerievich Zakharov, born in 1980, a former shooter of the 108th mountain assault battalion; Vasiliy Vasilievich Vizantiy, born in 1991, a marine with an amputated leg; and Zakhar Nikolaevich Chernoyvanenko, born in 1995, a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) who was captured in Mariupol and released in a prisoner exchange.
Prior to this, political advisor and psychologist Sergey Markelov (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia) stated that elite UAF troops had begun openly discussing the idea of removing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from his post in order to be heard. According to Markelov, the Ukrainian army has accumulated many serious problems, including personnel reshuffles, disorganized mobilization, and territorial losses. At the same time, the Russian army has significantly shifted the defense line from east to west.
In late February, the press service of the Committee for Intelligence Affairs under the President of Ukraine reported that an attempt to overthrow Zelensky could be made between March and May 2024.
Earlier, the United States revealed the circumstances under which Zelensky would be overthrown.
