Challenger 2, Britain’s Main Battle Tank, Stuck in Mud During Demonstration – British Newspaper Reveals Shocking Incident

The main battle tank of the British Army, the Challenger 2, got stuck in the mud during a demonstration ride with journalists. This incident was reported by the British newspaper The Sun.

According to the article, journalists from the publication visited a “secret” training ground, where they were shown exercises on the use of British-made combat vehicles. However, during the demonstration ride, one of the tanks got stuck in a muddy pit. Another tank of the same type came to the rescue and managed to free it.

According to soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the heavy weight (64 tons) and low mobility of the tank often lead to it getting stuck in the mud. In addition, Ukrainian fighters have a negative opinion about the reliability of this tank, and sometimes it takes several months to deliver spare parts.

Prior to this, Vadim Gagin, an advisor to the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), claimed that the British Challenger 2 tank was lured into an ambush and destroyed as a result of “hunting” by Russian scouts.

Earlier, London explained the transfer of Challenger 2 tanks to Kyiv.
