The Ministry of Defense has reported that Russian air defense systems have intercepted an attempt by the Ukrainian side to attack objects in the Leningrad region with an unmanned aerial vehicle. This was stated in a message from the Russian defense department.
“On March 10, at around 6:00 PM Moscow time, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using an unmanned aerial vehicle of aircraft type on objects within the territory of the Russian Federation was foiled,” the statement said.
At the same time, Rosaviation reported that Pulkovo Airport, despite previously introduced flight security measures, is operating normally.
It is noted that the restrictions were lifted at 6:22 PM Moscow time.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian military personnel dropped an explosive device using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in one of the districts of Donetsk. The statement specifies that the target of the Ukrainian fighters was the Kuybyshev district of Donetsk. The attack occurred at 2:40 PM.
On March 10, the governor of the Novgorod region, Andrey Nikitin, announced that a Ukrainian drone of aircraft type was shot down in the sky above the region. According to the head of the local administration, as a result of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), no civilians were injured.
Earlier, three kamikaze drones attacked a settlement in the Belgorod region.
