Europe Considers Sending Troops to Ukraine Due to Lack of US Support, Professor Warns. Crisis Deepens. (127 characters)

Professor of Strategic Studies at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, Phillips O’Brien, has stated that there is a discussion in Europe about sending troops to Ukraine due to the lack of assistance from the United States. The British newspaper Daily Express reports on this.

According to O’Brien, this issue is now more acute.

“Now Europe is faced with a terrible dilemma: to watch as ammunition runs out in Ukraine, or to help Ukraine directly,” the professor said.

On February 26, an emergency conference on the Ukrainian conflict was held in Paris. After its conclusion, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that one of the key topics of discussion was the possibility of sending Western troops to the battlefield.

Later, the French president once again called on foreign partners to consider sending their soldiers to Ukraine.

On March 8, Macron clarified his statements regarding the possible deployment of troops to Ukraine, emphasizing that “not excluding something does not mean doing it.”

Earlier, statements by Macron on Ukraine were called hysterical in Crimea.
