Polish Foreign Minister Supports NATO Troops in Ukraine, Welcomes Macron’s Initiative

Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski, has commented on the possible deployment of NATO troops to Ukraine. According to Bild, Sikorski stated that NATO countries should not fear Russian President Vladimir Putin. He added that the presence of NATO forces in Ukraine is not unthinkable and welcomed a similar initiative by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Macron had previously stated that the possibility of sending European Union ground forces to Ukraine was discussed at a conference in Paris. However, participants in the talks have not yet reached a consensus on sending their military contingents to Ukraine.

Prior to this, Polish President Andrzej Duda announced that NATO countries had announced massive deliveries of ammunition to aid the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, when it comes to the possibility of sending their own troops to Ukraine, alliance countries have differing opinions, he revealed.

Earlier, Zelensky revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the fighting onto Russian territory.
