Poland’s President, Andrzej Duda, has stated that it is necessary to build an airport as part of a large transportation hub to transfer NATO forces to the eastern flank. This announcement comes from the Polish Press Agency.
Duda emphasized the importance of ensuring Poland’s security by having an airport capable of accommodating large military transport aircraft, handling a significant number of flights, and facilitating quick deployments.
The Polish President believes that this project should be implemented through the Central Communication Port (CPK). It is expected that this airport will be the largest in the country and will take several years to construct.
Prior to this, the Polish Sejm (parliament) almost unanimously passed a law suspending the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE).
Earlier, the Polish Minister of Defense commented on the possibility of sending their military forces to Ukraine.
