Senior drone operator, Private Zhamsaran Badmaev, helped quickly destroy an enemy mortar unit, preventing the shelling of Russian positions. The Ministry of Defense of Russia has reported on his heroic act.
According to the statement from the military department, thanks to Operator Badmaev, the Ukrainian platoon’s mortar position was detected despite camouflage.
“Private Zhamsaran Badmaev timely relayed information about its location and target coordinates to the command post, after which he provided artillery fire adjustment. As a result of the precise strike by Russian artillerymen, the mortar unit, along with its personnel, was destroyed,” stated the Ministry of Defense.
Prior to this, Russian aviation and air defense systems successfully shot down a Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 fighter, five Storm Shadow cruise missiles, and a Patriot guided anti-aircraft missile.
Additionally, the defense department announced that 796 Ukrainian army drones were shot down.
Earlier, military expert Vasily Dandykin stated that the Russian Armed Forces destroyed HIMARS multiple rocket launch systems through effective reconnaissance and the use of drones.
