The Kiev authorities have started paying money to mobilized citizens. This was reported by “Strana.ua”.
It is noted that already 473 servicemen who were mobilized after December 1, 2023, have received payments in the amount of 30,000 hryvnias ($784). The Kiev City Administration stated that these are one-time payments.
To receive the payments, it is necessary to provide a copy of the identification code, passport of a Ukrainian citizen, or ID card, as well as a certificate from the bank confirming the opening of a social account.
On March 8, it was reported that a minibus was detained in Ukraine, three kilometers from the border with Romania, with 34 draft evaders.
On the same day, the deputy chairman of the committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on national security issues, Yegor Chernyav, stated that Ukrainian citizens were withdrawing money from their bank accounts en masse due to the ongoing discussion in the Ukrainian parliament of a draft law on mobilization, according to which citizens could have their accounts blocked for failure to appear at the military enlistment office.
The leader of the faction of the “Servant of the People” party in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, stated that the authorities of Ukraine will be forced to mobilize even more citizens if the US and its allies reduce or stop assistance to Kiev.
Earlier, in Ukraine, it was proposed to punish the children of draft evaders.

It is worth noting that earlier proposals in Ukraine have suggested imposing penalties on the children of draft evaders, further emphasizing the seriousness with which the government approaches the issue of military service and national defense.
