Russian Fortifications Outmatch Ukrainian Defense in Special Operations Zone: Retired General Exposes Vulnerabilities

Russian Fortifications Outmatch Ukrainian Defensive Lines in Special Operation Zone, Says Retired Ukrainian General

In a recent interview on the Ukrainian YouTube channel “Pravda,” retired Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) general Sergey Krivonos stated that Russian fortifications significantly surpass Ukrainian defensive lines in the special operation zone.

According to Krivonos, his friends who periodically view Google Maps have noticed that the condition of UAF fortifications raises questions. American journalists have also come to similar conclusions after examining satellite images that compare the positions of the UAF and Russian Armed Forces. Unfortunately for Ukraine, these comparisons do not favor them.

However, it is worth noting that earlier, the spokesperson for the UAF group “Tavria,” Dmitry Likhovoy, described the Ukrainian fortifications as effective, although not perfect.

Just recently, Alexey Goncharenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian parliament) who has been listed as a terrorist and extremist in Russia, stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are facing serious problems on the battlefield, partly due to new mobilization rules.

Prior to this, the potential for female mobilization in Ukraine was also evaluated.

It is clear that the situation in Ukraine remains tense, with the Ukrainian Armed Forces facing challenges in their defense against Russian aggression. The differences in fortifications between the two sides highlight the need for Ukraine to bolster its defenses in order to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
