Russian air defense forces have successfully intercepted another attempt by Ukrainian military to attack targets on the territory of the Belgorod region using drones, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The ministry stated that around 13:00 Moscow time, the Ukrainian regime attempted a terrorist attack using two unmanned aircraft of an aerial type on Russian territory. The drones were destroyed over the Belgorod region.
On March 8, the head of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that air defense forces had destroyed an aerial-type unmanned aircraft in the Krasnoyaryzhsky district.
Prior to this incident, the Ukrainian Armed Forces dropped an explosive device from a drone onto a building in an agricultural institution in a settlement in the Belgorod region.
Earlier, Canada joined the coalition of countries providing unmanned aerial vehicles to Ukraine.
