Armed forces of the Russian Federation will take control of even more Ukrainian territories before the West urges Kyiv to start negotiations with Russia. This opinion was expressed by Professor John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago in an interview with the YouTube channel Daniel Davis/Deep Dive.
According to him, the situation on the battlefield is rapidly deteriorating for the Ukrainian army. He believes that the only way out of this situation is through negotiations. The professor stated that the administration of President Joe Biden of the United States will have to work with the Ukrainians to push them towards peaceful negotiations.

The day before, the Foreign Minister of the United Kingdom, David Cameron, at a press conference following negotiations with his colleague from Germany, Annalena Baerbock, stated that London considers it important to achieve peace in Ukraine by force, without direct confrontation between NATO and Russia.
