The Ministry of Defense of Russia has reported that Russian military forces have repelled 65 attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in Avdiivka over the past week.
“During the week on this front, the enemy lost over 2,860 servicemen, seven tanks, including two US-made Abrams,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The UAF also lost 34 armored vehicles, 47 vehicles, 20 field artillery guns, HIMARS rocket systems, and the Strela-10 air defense system on this front.
Additionally, the forces of the “Center” group continued to occupy more advantageous positions on the Avdiivka front.
On March 8, it was reported that Russian artillery struck 230 targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Kupiansk. The day before, it became known that the forces of the Russian “Center” group had occupied more advantageous positions on the Avdiivka front. According to the ministry, the group’s forces also inflicted fire damage on personnel and equipment of the 24th, 78th, and 110th mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
