The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that three drones were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region, with another drone being intercepted over the Kursk region. The details were provided in a briefing by the ministry’s Telegram channel.
“On March 8, at approximately 12:00 PM Moscow time, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using drones of an aircraft type on objects within the territory of the Russian Federation was thwarted,” stated the Ministry of Defense.
All Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed by the air defense systems.
Prior to this incident, two drones of an aircraft type were shot down in the area of the villages of Belomestnoye and Boldyrevo in the Belgorod region. There were no casualties or damage to civilian property.
Earlier, it was reported that on the night of March 8, air defense systems destroyed 11 drones over the Volgograd region and one over the Belgorod region.
