In a recent development, units of the Russian military group “Center” have reportedly seized more advantageous positions in the Avdiivka direction. This information was announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the ministry, the Russian troops also inflicted fire damage on the personnel and equipment of the 24th, 78th, and 110th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of Mayorsk, Novhorodske, and Orlivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). Additionally, Russian forces repelled four attacks by enemy assault groups in the areas of Leninske, Novhorodske, and Rozivka, as well as seven counterattacks in the areas of Petrovske, Berdychiv, Orlivka, Tonenke, and Persomaiske in the DPR.

The ministry stated that the losses suffered by the AFU amounted to up to 390 servicemen, two combat armored vehicles, 14 cars, and a self-propelled artillery unit called “Gvozdika.” It was also reported that a field ammunition depot of the AFU was destroyed.
