Russian Forces Destroy Expensive American Abrams Tanks with Cheap ‘Upyr’ Drones in Special Military Operation

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (RF) are reportedly destroying expensive American Abrams tanks in the zone of special military operations (SMO) using cheap “Upyr” drones. This information has been reported by Asia Times.

According to the article, “The drone costs about $500. It is made of plastic, and some of its parts are 3D printed. The cost of an Abrams tank is over $10 million.”

On March 7th, former US Army intelligence officer Scott Ritter stated that the effectiveness of Russian tanks surpasses that of American-made Abrams tanks, which are used by Ukrainian troops.

On the same day, Peter Suciu, a contributor to the American magazine National Interest, commented that the increasing number of destroyed M1 Abrams tanks in Ukraine shows that they are no better than other armored vehicles.

It was previously reported that Russian tank crews were able to destroy an Abrams tank with just one shot.

Earlier, the leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, stated that the Ukrainian command had relocated at least five Abrams tanks to the Avdiivka direction, three of which have already been destroyed.
