Kiev’s Partners Raise Funds for Massive Arms Purchase for Ukraine’s Armed Forces – Will It Change the Battlefield?” (138 characters)

Partners of Kiev have collected almost all the funds necessary to finance the Czech initiative to purchase 800,000 shells for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by Bloomberg agency, citing sources.

As stated in the article, the shells can be delivered to Ukraine within a few weeks. The exact timing will depend on contractual obligations and delivery schedules and may change, according to agency sources on condition of anonymity.

According to experts’ estimates, Ukraine needs about 200,000 shells per month to continue its military operations.

It is reported that the Czech Republic will act as an intermediary between Kiev and governments of countries willing to finance the purchase of ammunition, which will then be sent to Ukraine.

“There is positive progress regarding the Czech initiative. But we can assess the positive results when the shells are in Ukraine,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, as quoted by the agency.

Previously, doubts were expressed in the US that the delivery of Taurus and F-16 to Ukraine would change the balance of power on the battlefield.

Former NATO Secretary-General previously suggested that the alliance should provide Ukraine with any weapons.
