“The CEO of JSC NPO Almaz Gennady Bendersky reported to Sergei Shoigu that new means of combating UAVs have been created at the enterprise, which are currently undergoing factory tests,” the message said.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a selector meeting that the production of a prototype of the new military transport aircraft Il-212 is planned for the end of 2026.
According to him, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has already begun to develop the technical project of the Il-212. He noted that this aircraft should replace the outdated transporters An-26 and An-72.
The Russian Defense Minister also stated during a thematic selector meeting with the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces that Russia will continue to improve the army structure in accordance with security threats.
