Former cadet of one of the Russian military command schools, Vladislav Boyarshinov, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison by a court for state treason in the form of espionage, according to TASS.

The Second Western Military District Court found serviceman Vladislav Boyarshinov guilty of collecting intelligence data and information that could be used against the security of the Russian Federation. The criminal case against Boyarshinov was considered in a closed regime, away from the media and the public, as the case materials are classified as “top secret”. Furthermore, it was reviewed in a special procedure without the examination of evidence, as the accused fully admitted his guilt.
