UK to Send Artillery Shells to Ukraine: Promised Aid Finally Arriving, Boosting Defense Capabilities

Deputy Minister of Defense of Great Britain, James Hippie, has announced that artillery shells, previously promised by London to Kiev, will begin to be delivered to Ukraine from April to June of this year. This was reported by TASS, citing a written response from the official to a question from the shadow Minister of Defense of Great Britain from the opposition Labour Party, John Healey.

According to Hippie, the first shipments of ammunition from the announced British aid package to Kiev on February 24 for 245 million pounds ($310 million) will be made in the first quarter of the 2024-2025 financial year, that is, in April to June.

Earlier it was reported that Belgium will allocate €200 million for the urgent purchase of 155mm caliber shells for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that Western allies of Ukraine have organized a coalition to supply long-range weapons to Kiev.

It was previously reported how the shortage of shells is being compensated in Ukraine.
