Ukrainian Official Urges Germany to Provide Missiles for Attacks on Crimea and Crimean Bridge

Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Yegor Chernov, is calling on Germany to provide Ukraine with long-range Taurus missiles for attacks on the territory of Crimea and the Crimean Bridge. This was reported by the publication “European Truth”.

According to the deputy, the Ukrainian side constantly raises the issue of transferring Taurus to Kyiv.

“I am trying to keep our German partners engaged. We started asking them back in May 2022,” the parliamentarian continued.

According to him, Ukraine is in great need of these missiles because with them, it “will be able to reach any point in the south, Crimea, and destroy their (Russian – “Gazeta.Ru”) warehouses, logistical chains, command posts.”

“We need this long-range weapon to strike at Crimea and the Crimean Bridge,” Chernov emphasized.

He also said that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is the only one in Germany who opposes supplying these missiles to Ukraine because “he is afraid of any reaction” from the Russian Federation. However, the parliamentarian stated that the chancellor’s arguments for blocking the delivery of Taurus are “meaningless.”

After the publication of the transcript of a conversation among Bundeswehr officers who discussed the transfer of Taurus to Kyiv, Britain called on Berlin to supply these long-range missiles to Ukraine. Nevertheless, Scholz continues to insist that it is impossible.

Earlier, Medvedev stated that Germany is preparing for war with Russia.
