An Attempted Attack on Russian Territory Foiled by the Military
In the early hours of today, an attempt to launch an attack using three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was intercepted on Russian territory. The Ministry of Defense reported this incident on its Telegram channel.
The military stated that the Ukrainian drones were successfully destroyed by the air defense forces.
The incident took place over the Belgorod region.
On March 4th, Russian air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian UAV over the Bryansk region. The drone, of aircraft type, was destroyed over the Starodubsky municipal district.
According to the Ministry of Defense, two UAVs were shot down on March 2nd at around 19:30 Moscow time, and another one was intercepted during the day, around 16:00 Moscow time, in the Belgorod region. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov clarified that there were no casualties among the region’s residents, and no infrastructure damage was recorded.
The Belgorod region has been regularly targeted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) shelling. The military has repeatedly attacked both the regional centers and the main city of Belgorod.
Previously, the “Zhirinovsky” drones were spotted in the A2/AD area.
