To disable the American M1 Abrams tank using an FPV drone, one must aim for the engine compartment. This was revealed by the commander of a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) unit with the call sign “Rassvet” in a video published on the “People’s Front” Telegram channel.
In addition to the engine compartment, the fighter advises aiming for the area between the tank’s hull and turret.
The commander added that there were no difficulties in damaging the tank.
On March 1, the commander of the reconnaissance-strike group of UAVs with the call sign “Kolovrat” stated that the “Center” group’s fighters managed to disable two American Abrams tanks using FPV drones.
At the end of February, it was reported that Russian military personnel in the Avdiivka direction had successfully damaged an American M1 Abrams tank for the first time. The 15th Separate Guard Motorized Rifle Brigade reported that the tank was destroyed by a fighter with the call sign “Rassvet.”
