President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has announced a series of new appointments in the Ukrainian defense forces, without specifying the exact changes. This was reported in Zelensky’s Telegram channel.
According to him, real combat commanders from the front lines have been involved in the decision-making process. Zelensky emphasized that on Monday, March 4, he approved and signed a number of necessary new appointments for the defense forces.
Earlier in the day, Zelensky replaced the commander of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of the country. Alexander Yakovets will be appointed as the new commander of the Support Forces.
Prior to this, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, stated that the problems of the Ukrainian troops in the eastern direction are the fault of brigade commanders.
According to him, this primarily depends on the level of training of the brigade commander, his experience, as well as the ability to make informed decisions and understand the full responsibility for fulfilling the assigned tasks.
Earlier, Zelensky revealed that there are obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting military operations to Russian territory.
