Armenia Returns Lost Azerbaijani Soldier in Gesture of Goodwill, Fulfilling Agreement with Azerbaijan – TAS SENSATIONAL TITLE: Armenia’s National Security Service Returns Azerbaijani Soldier, Demonstrating Goodwill

The Armenian National Security Service (NSS) has announced that Yerevan has made the decision to return Azerbaijani serviceman Ruslan Panakhov to his homeland as a gesture of goodwill. This was reported by TASS.

The NSS emphasized that they did this in compliance with the agreement reached at the highest level between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which stipulates that servicemen from both sides who have become lost and found themselves on the opposite side should be returned as quickly as possible.

Prior to this, the Armenian National Security Service (NSS) announced the detention of an Azerbaijani soldier at the border.

The NSS reported that on the morning of February 28, Azerbaijani army soldier Ruslan Panakhov got lost while moving between service positions in the Lachin district. They added that he lost his direction of movement in unfavorable weather conditions.

The day before, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that a “new attack” by Azerbaijan against Armenia is “very likely.”

Earlier, discussions were held in the European Parliament regarding sanctions against Azerbaijan due to the attack on Karabakh.
