Ukraine’s Military Crisis: Where are the 700k Mobilized Citizens? Government Fails to Explain” (116 characters)

Against the backdrop of a severe shortage of military personnel in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the country’s leadership is unable to explain the whereabouts and activities of 700,000 mobilized citizens. This is reported by The Washington Post.

The article notes that Alexander Syrsky, who was appointed as the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in early February, has not provided any clarity on this issue.

“Almost a month after his appointment, no one in the military leadership or the president’s administration has explained where these 700,000 people are or what they are doing,” the publication states.

According to WP, members of the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, complain about the lack of a unified and clear position on this issue from President Zelensky’s administration and the military.

“I don’t know why Zelensky or his team are still trying to convince society that everything is always fine. It’s not true, especially when it comes to the army,” said opposition deputy Solomiya Bobrovska.

The reduction in the number of combat-ready soldiers in the Ukrainian Armed Forces has turned into a strategic crisis, emphasizes the newspaper.

On March 4, concerns arose in Ukraine due to a shortage of personnel in the Ukrainian army.

On the same day, it became known who could be subject to mobilization in Ukraine in the first place.

Earlier, it was stated in Ukraine that it is impossible to hide at home from mobilization.
