The authorities of Ukraine have evacuated archives, officials, and employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) from Kurakhovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). This was stated by the advisor to the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, Yan Gagin, according to RIA Novosti.
“Gagin said, “From Europe and the United States, Zelensky was instructed to turn Kurakhovo into a new fortress. But the reality is that even Kurakhovo cannot become a fortress – the archives, officials, and SBU have already been evacuated from there. We are moving towards Kurakhovo.”
He explained that Kurakhovo is an important transport hub supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) group in this front area. The enemy occupied positions there after leaving Mariinka, with a distance of about 20 km between the cities, noted the advisor.
He also emphasized that Russian military forces are advancing in all directions in the DPR.
In early February, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) used a one-and-a-half-ton FAB-1500 air bomb in Kurakhovo and destroyed a UAF base.
Earlier, the head of the DPR, Pushilin, stated that the Russian Armed Forces are advancing towards Kurakhovo, from where the UAF is shelling Donetsk.
