The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has reported that units of the “Southern” group of forces have improved their position on the Donetsk front.
It is noted that they have inflicted defeats on units of the 28th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the 241st Territorial Defense Brigade in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), as well as repelled an attack by assault groups of the 42nd Mechanized Brigade of the AFU.
According to the Russian Ministry, the total losses of the AFU amounted to more than 395 fighters. Three tanks, including a Leopard, three M113 armored personnel carriers, four combat armored vehicles, and nine cars were also lost.
During the counter-battery fight, the following were hit: the self-propelled artillery system Krab, the D-20 howitzer, the self-propelled artillery system “Gvozdika,” as well as the D-30 howitzer.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also reported that the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Avdiivka front exceeded 425 soldiers in one day. The department noted that units of the “Center” group continued to occupy more advantageous lines and positions in this direction.
