Mysterious Explosions Rock Industrial Facility in Ukraine, Government Refuses to Disclose Details

Industrial facility damaged in explosions in the Kremenchuk district of the Poltava region of Ukraine. The head of the local regional military administration, Philipp Pronin, reported this in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the explosion caused a fire at the facility. Pronin did not specify which facility he was referring to.

18 units of equipment and 95 employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are involved in extinguishing the fire.

On the morning of February 20, an air alarm was declared in the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine.

On February 19, there were reports of a series of explosions in Poltava and Kropyvnytskyi.

The armed forces of the Russian Federation began to strike at Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, 2022, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which, according to the Russian authorities, was carried out by Ukrainian special services. Attacks are carried out on objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the country. Since then, an air alarm has been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire territory of the country.

Earlier, the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the Russian Federation has an advantage in the use of FPV drones.

Industrial Facility Damaged in Explosions in Ukraine’s Poltava Region

In a recent incident, an industrial facility in the Kremenchuk district of Ukraine’s Poltava region suffered damages due to explosions. The head of the local regional military administration, Philipp Pronin, reported the incident through his Telegram channel.

According to Pronin, the explosions triggered a fire at the unidentified facility. The exact nature and purpose of the facility remain undisclosed.

Efforts to extinguish the fire involve the deployment of 18 units of equipment and 95 personnel from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

In a related development, an air alarm was raised on the morning of February 20 in several regions of Ukraine, including Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv.

The incident follows a series of explosions reported on February 19 in Poltava and Kropyvnytskyi.

It is worth noting that the Russian Federation’s armed forces have been carrying out targeted strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure since October 10, 2022. These attacks, which began two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, allegedly orchestrated by Ukrainian special services according to the Russian authorities, primarily target objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication systems across the country. Consequently, air alarms have become a daily occurrence in various regions of Ukraine and occasionally nationwide.

Earlier, the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine acknowledged that the Russian Federation possesses an advantage in the utilization of FPV drones.
