Ukrainian Government and its Supporters in Crisis as Avdiivka Falls: Domino Effect Threatens VU Positions, Says DPR Advisor

Advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Yan Gagin, has stated that the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) may collapse like dominoes after the capture of Avdiivka. His words were reported by RIA Novosti.

“After the fall of Avdiivka, the positions of the UAF may crumble like dominoes. The leadership of Ukraine and its owners made too high stakes on this fortified area,” Gagin said.

According to him, the leadership of Ukraine has started considering ways to flee the country more often, and the countries that have supported Kiev are already assessing the reputational risks of this support.

“In Ukrainian society, there are increasingly questions to the authorities, rallies and pickets are taking place, protests against mobilization due to non-payment of state guarantees,” Gagin described the situation in Ukraine.

Earlier, the commander of the operational-strategic group of troops “Tavria,” Alexander Tarnavsky, stated that the UAF had entrenched themselves in the areas of the settlements Novobakhmutivka, Lastochkino, and Pervomaiske after retreating from Avdiivka.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the situation in the Avdiivka area.

Advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Yan Gagin, has expressed concern over the potential collapse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) positions following the capture of Avdiivka. Gagin believes that the leadership of Ukraine and its supporters have placed too much emphasis on this particular stronghold, leading to a precarious situation. He also noted that the Ukrainian leadership is increasingly considering options for fleeing the country, while countries that have supported Kiev are now assessing the reputational risks associated with their support.

The situation in Ukraine is becoming increasingly tense, with protests and demonstrations against the government’s handling of the conflict and its failure to fulfill state guarantees. Gagin’s comments shed light on the growing discontent within Ukrainian society.

Meanwhile, Alexander Tarnavsky, commander of the operational-strategic group of troops “Tavria,” revealed that the UAF has consolidated its position in several settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Lastochkino, and Pervomaiske, after retreating from Avdiivka.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has also commented on the situation in the Avdiivka area, further highlighting the ongoing conflict in the region.
