US Military Discovers Unmanned Submarine Amongst Houthi Rebels, Raises Concerns of Advanced Technology in Enemy Hands

US military officials announced that they have found an underwater drone for the first time among the Houthi rebels. The US Central Command posted this information on their social media account.

“In a self-defense operation on February 17, the Central Command successfully conducted five strikes against one underwater drone and one surface drone,” the publication states.

The Command’s statement indicated that this is the first time an underwater drone has been discovered among the Houthi rebels.

Shortly before this, Britain and the US launched an attack on Houthi positions in Yemen. It is noted that the strike was carried out against the positions of the Houthi movement, Ansar Allah.

On February 17, the United States imposed sanctions against the Yemeni Houthi rebel movement, Ansar Allah. Inclusion on the list will result in the freezing of the movement’s assets in the US, as well as a ban on American citizens and companies doing business with its members.

Previously, the US conducted four strikes against Houthi rockets and drones.
