Ukraine’s Military Personnel Shortage Threatens National Security as Western Aid Falls Short, warns Russian Expert

Supplies of weapons and money to Ukraine from the West will not help Kyiv if the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) run out of combat-ready personnel, and signs of this can already be seen, according to Bogdan Bezpal’ko, a member of the Council for Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation. The expert made this statement in an interview with the magazine “International Life”.

“The thing is that even supplies of weapons and money will not save Ukraine if it doesn’t have soldiers. Signs of this are still observed in Ukraine,” said Bezpal’ko, suggesting that Ukrainians will surrender en masse and hide more intensively to avoid mobilization.

The expert also commented on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent trips to France and Germany, during which talks were held, including discussions on providing assistance to Kyiv. However, Bezpal’ko noted that the volume of this support may be lower than previously promised, and it can only be delivered in the future, not immediately as Zelensky requested.

Earlier, Czech President Petr Pavel stated that his country had found 800,000 artillery shells abroad, which could be sent to Kyiv within a few weeks, provided that funding is provided by partners from the United States, Germany, Sweden, and other countries.

Previously, President Macron of France was accused of assisting Ukraine to the detriment of his own people.
