Ukrainian Forces Surrendering to Russian Militants at Avdiivka Coke Plant: No Resistance, Shocking Retreat

Advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Igor Kimakovskiy, has stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) at the Avdiivka coke and chemical plant are not putting up much resistance. His words were reported by TASS.

“There is an intense cleansing of the territory of the Avdiivka coke and chemical plant from Ukrainian troops. In this case, the armed formations of Ukraine, having learned from the events in Mariupol, are not putting up much resistance,” explained Kimakovskiy.

According to him, Ukrainian soldiers prefer to surrender and leave the territory of the plant alive.

Earlier, journalist and commentator for the German newspaper Bild, Julian Repke, wrote that the Russian Armed Forces were able to capture Avdiivka, despite the presence of strong fortifications by the UAF, with the coke and chemical plant being the main one.

According to the journalist, the plant was the most fortified position in the area, so he was surprised by the quick surrender of the facility and the swift withdrawal of Ukrainian troops.

Earlier, the commander of the UAF stated that Russia has an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
