Head of the public movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov announced an intensification of hostilities on the Zaporizhzhia front line. His words were reported by RIA Novosti.
“In the past few days, and especially on Saturday, there has been an increase in the activity of hostilities on the Zaporizhzhia front line. The initiative is in our hands,” said Rogov.
According to him, the priority direction on the front line in the Zaporizhzhia region is the Orehiv direction in the area of the villages of Rabotino and Verbovo. Rogov noted that Russian artillery, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and heavy flamethrower systems (TOS) “Solntsepek” are delivering concentrated strikes on the fortifications and concentrations of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
On February 17, the head of the Ukrainian-controlled part of the Zaporizhzhia region, Ivan Fedorov, reported that an infrastructure object was damaged by an explosion on the outskirts of the region.
Earlier, there were reports of an explosion in the city of Zaporizhzhia, which is controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. There was no information about damage to infrastructure or local residents being affected. An air alarm was declared in the part of the Zaporizhzhia region controlled by Kyiv.
Previously, conditions for negotiations with Russia were outlined in Ukraine.
