NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has stated that the alliance is stronger than Russia but faces certain challenges. This was reported by TASS.
“NATO is the largest military force in the world, representing approximately half of the world’s military power, and in military terms, we are stronger than Russia,” he said.
At the same time, he noted that the alliance has clear problems and requires spare parts, maintenance, and ammunition to sustain military operations. According to him, NATO’s reserves are currently “inadequate.”
Stoltenberg also stated that any discussions about “European nuclear weapons” only undermine the North Atlantic Alliance.
Prior to this, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated at the Munich Security Conference that NATO countries do not want to be involved in direct conflict with Russia and therefore do not intend to deploy their armed forces to Ukrainian territory.
Earlier, Germany promised to support the security of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.
