Explosions Shake Ukrainian Cities as Violence Escalates: Government Forces Under Fire

On Saturday, February 17, an explosion rocked the city of Zaporizhia, which is under the control of Kiev. This was reported by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.

No information about infrastructure damage or local residents being injured was provided. Currently, an air alarm has been declared in the part of the Zaporizhia region that is under Kiev’s control.

Later, the Ukrainian publication “Mirror of the Week” reported that explosions had also occurred in the city of Kherson, which is under Kiev’s control. Apart from the fact of the explosion, no other details were provided. An air alarm has also been declared in this region.

Shortly before these incidents, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled the village of Panteleimonovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. It is noted that the projectile hit and destroyed a residential building. Six people were injured, including two children.

During the night of February 17, the village of Sushany in the Klimovsky district of the Bryansk region also came under fire from the AFU. As reported by the governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz, emergency and operational services are working at the scene.

Earlier, the AFU cut off electricity supply to two settlements in the Kursk region.
