Saudi Arabia Shows Interest in Russian Weapons at World Defense Show 2024

The General Director of “Rosoboronexport,” Alexander Mikheev, revealed to TASS at the World Defense Show 2024 in Riyadh that Saudi Arabia is considering purchasing Russian weapons in the future.

When asked about the types of weaponry Saudi Arabia is looking to buy, he highlighted the consistent interest from Middle Eastern countries in Russian heavy flamethrower systems TOC-1A, anti-tank missile complexes “Kornet-EM,” and small arms.

Earlier at the exhibition, representatives from the “Precision Complexes” holding (part of the state corporation “Rostec”) announced that the tests of the compact missile of the Pantsir-S1M anti-aircraft missile and gun system, designed to combat drones, will be completed in 2024.

On February 6, the state corporation “Rostec” presented unmanned aerial vehicles, anti-drone systems, precision ammunition, small arms, and other innovations at the international defense and security exhibition, World Defense Show 2024, held in the capital of Saudi Arabia.
