Explosions reported in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, raising concerns over ongoing conflict

Explosions have been reported in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, according to a Telegram channel of the Ukrainian publication “Mirror of the Week.”

The message stated, “Kharkiv… reports of explosions in the region.”

According to an online map by the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation, an air raid alarm has been declared in the Kharkiv, Poltava, and Sumy regions.

Earlier on the evening of February 5th, there were reports of explosions in the city of Kherson, which is under Kyiv’s control.

In December, the spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, stated that Russian military forces were deceiving Ukrainian air defense systems using electromagnetic pulses.

Since October 10th, 2022, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have been launching attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, just two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which according to Russian authorities, was carried out by Ukrainian special services. These attacks have targeted objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the country. Since then, air raid alarms have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire territory of the country.

Earlier, a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine expressed confusion over the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
