Explosions Rock Ukrainian City of Kherson as Attacks Continue

A series of explosions have occurred in the city of Kherson, which is under the control of the Ukrainian government. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication “Obshchestvennoye”.

Official information from the local authorities in Kiev has not been released yet.

On January 29, the mayor of Kherson, Roman Mrochko, also reported about the explosions in the city.

The explosions in Kherson took place during the night of January 29.

Since October 10, 2022, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Russian Armed Forces have been striking Ukrainian infrastructure. Since then, air alarms have been announced daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire country. As stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the attacks are targeting objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the entire republic.

The Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, joined the Russian Federation following referendums held in September 2022. Military rule has been imposed in these regions since October 20.

Earlier, the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky threatened Russia with retaliation for the explosions in Ukraine.
