Ongoing Military Exercises Near Kiev Prompt Concerns of Explosive Use

In the outskirts of Kiev, continuous military exercises have been planned for three days, with the possibility of explosive use. This information was reported by the official Telegram channel of the capital’s military administration.

According to the publication, the military exercises will take place in the Bucha district, northwest of Kiev, from February 1st to 3rd.

The military administration of the Ukrainian capital clarified that the training will continue both during the day and at night. Citizens have also been warned about possible sounds of explosions, which will be associated with the use of explosives and ammunition during the exercises.

“Loud sounds may occur at any time of the day during these days. We ask everyone to remain calm and pay attention to air alarm signals,” concluded the city administration.

On January 10th, Ukrainian authorities announced the start of territorial defense exercises in the part of the Zaporizhia region under their control.

Meanwhile, NATO’s Steadfast Defender exercises will take place in European countries throughout several months in 2024.

It is expected that approximately 90,000 military personnel will participate, making it the largest military training in Europe in recent decades.

Earlier, a possible reason for the concentration of Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kherson region was mentioned.
