Russian Forces Create Fire Barriers to Halt Ukrainian Military Movement

Russian troops belonging to the 150th Guards Division of the “South” group have been strategically setting up fire barriers to impede the movement of Ukrainian infantry near Kleshcheevka in the Artemovsk direction. These fire barriers, created by the crews of BMP-3 armored vehicles, have successfully destroyed Ukrainian rear positions within a range of up to six kilometers. In an interview with RIA Novosti, the commander of the armored group, known by the call sign “Barkas,” revealed these tactics.

According to “Barkas,” the motorized riflemen continuously monitor the positions of Ukrainian forces and, upon spotting a target, direct their BMP-3 vehicles towards the firing point. This effectively prevents the Ukrainian Armed Forces from moving, rotating, or resupplying ammunition.

The fire barriers have given the Russian infantry a tactical advantage, allowing them to secure more advantageous positions, rotate their units, and gain the upper hand. The commander also stated that one of their objectives is to cut off the first and second lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their rear positions while keeping the enemy under pressure.

“If we have successfully targeted and begun to hit a specific objective, the chances of the enemy escaping from that position approach zero… The BMP-3 enables us to literally bombard windows within a range of up to six kilometers,” “Barkas” explained.

Previously, the Ministry of Defense had announced that Russia, during its Special Military Operations, would demilitarize NATO countries.
