In a recent development, the spokesperson for the Western Grouping, Sergey Zybinskiy, announced that Russian forces have successfully repelled a total of five attacks and counterattacks by two brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the Kupyansk direction near Synkovka in the Kharkiv region, and in Ternov in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The attacks were reported by TASS.
According to Zybinskiy, all of the attacks and counterattacks were effectively repelled, forcing the Ukrainian forces to retreat in the southern and western directions.
Zybinskiy emphasized that the heavy flamethrower systems of the grouping had delivered three strikes on the platoon strongholds of the 60th Mechanized Brigade of the UAF in the Tabaivka area of the Kharkiv region.
Prior to this, it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces had targeted a Ukrainian air defense system, the S-300 missile complex, located in the Cherkasy region over the past 24 hours.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also stated that during this period, Russian fighters had successfully destroyed enemy personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 102 districts.
Earlier, President Zelensky revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from moving the combat operations onto Russian territory.
