A pair of suspected thieves, who were previously involved in stealing packages of oxtails, were apprehended this week with stolen meat worth $500 from various grocery stores in the Houston area. The suspects, identified as Robert Stevenson, 31, and Cornilius Davis, 32, were taken into custody by the Rosenberg Police Department on Tuesday. Stevenson had been previously arrested in November after being found with multiple packages of stolen oxtails from a Food Town supermarket.
During a routine traffic stop, a Rosenberg police officer discovered that the vehicle the suspects were driving had been reported stolen from College Station. Upon further inspection, the officers found numerous meat products, including beef steaks, brisket, and pork chitterlings, valued at over $500 inside the car.
